A Basket of Dreams 🧺💭
Last year, I had the honour to coach 23 wonderful women across 76 hours and I have to be honest with you: I get emotional just thinking about it.
The wonders and dreams that come up when you ask simple questions and listen and dig a little deeper and take someone on a journey into the future, are mesmerising and sometimes surprise the dreamer herself.
Suddenly there are dogs in the picture, volunteer work, travels, adventures, simple cups of tea had in silence and in the sunshine.
I wanted to share a few of the dreams that I had the pleasure of tickling out of my clients and also share a few of the miracles and successes that they have experienced.
Why?
Well, I have become a fan of taking not just a moment but an hour or day to celebrate our human experience, our successes and achievements, and the struggles we’ve overcome – because they are the real wins. In fact, happiness researcher Meik Wiking discovered that overcoming a struggle and reaching a peak contributes also to creating positive memories.
So, let me share with you a few of the beautiful dreams that have come up in coaching sessions.
And perhaps one or the other inspires you, too.
Dreams that emerged in session
Owning a bookshop by the sea creating connection and leafy escapes
Building a spiritual centre where to teach meditation, mindfulness and create safe and rejuvenating spaces
Building a company whose goal it is to teach Tibetans in China to become financially independent and live a good life
Social activism around body positivity
Making a difference by working in European Parliaments
Writing short stories sharing insights into the lives of women who pave their own paths in a world dominated by men
Healing businesses
Building an agencies that works with clients who have missions to make the world a better place

Many boundaries have been set, that in the end improved and up-leveled personal and professional relationships and the boundary-setter’s personal well-being
Relationships with money have been revamped
Creative goddesses have been awakened
Dreams have become plans (“For the first time, I actually don’t see my dream as impossible!”)
Creating the money to move into own apartment which seemed so impossible at the time + recovered the desire for travel which was surpassed by anxiety – applied for work visa in Canada!
Around the inner work
Productive and inspiring relationships with the idea of death have been created (I am FASCINATED by this topic at the moment)
Emotions have been mastered
Limiting thoughts have been questioned, met with love and reshaped into supportive ones
Self-compassion has been cultivated
Safety has been channelled from within
Feelings that have been explored in and between sessions
Fear
Frustration
Annoyance
Love
Empathy
Self-Compassion
Peace
Patience
Deeper desires uncovered and found in the now
Safety
Love
Freedom
I really want to inspire you to dream bigger and to actually allow yourself to dream in the first place. That’s why one of my favourite questions is the simple yet effective “what do you want?”. And the truth is that most of us don’t know what we want and we actually can tear up just thinking about it.
And then?
The next step is to actually understand and see that this dream was planted in your mind for a reason and that this dream is not supposed to be a mere castle in the sky, but rather a vision to be realised. You have this dream because you are the perfect person to have this dream – you are made for it. It came to you because you are you.
But as I recently learned from a rather cheesy Christmas movie:
“A dream without a plan is just a wish”
— Saint-Exupery
So, once you have your own basket of dreams, it’s time to act on them.
So many things become possible once we set our mind to them and at the very same time, it is the mind that keeps us away from reaching for our dreams and that throws unsupportive stories at us – even if it is just trying to help us.
The one thing you need
The thing is this: It just takes a decision.
A decision to change, a decision to dream, a decision to do what it takes to create the life and impact you crave. The decision is the first step, it’s your lifeboat. Without the lifeboat you get lost in the sea of possibilities, procrastination, limiting thoughts and shiny objects. A decision gives you focus.
And that’s exactly what one client shared with me on the morning of17 January this year. She moved into an apartment with her partner which seemed so impossible a few months ago. Feelings of guilt and “lack of money” were holding her back. But since we coached, things massively shifted for her. She allowed herself to dream and take her life to the next level. She said to me – I made a decision and since then things just fell into place. She said how easy it suddenly was to make this dream of her own space possible.
The one thing you need is a decision. There are full-body decisions which are and feel like magic. But sometimes it’s hard to make one. I get it. Really. I have been there.
So, why not let her first decision be to dream.
PS. Whenever you’re ready…
If you want to get clearer on your purpose, learn to love yourself, find the courage to step into your vision and make a difference in the world – let’s have a powerful non-binding conversation! I know you are here for a reason and I’d love to support you further. My support looks like this: You talk. You tell me about your dreams and your struggles. I listen. We play. Your life changes.
I’ve seen it time and time again. I’m ready when you are.
PPS. If you loved this blog post, please share the love with a friend you know would benefit from it. Send it to them via WhatsApp, email it to them, text it to them, ... Whatever you've got to do to get this in their hands. ✨
